BIG10 Invitational
Stanford Women were victorious in all but three races entered while competing at the Big Ten Invitational April 15-16.
The Cardinal raced five boats three separate times over the course of two days. Stanford first raced its V8, 2V8, V4, and 2V4, winning all four races against Brown, Ohio State and Wisconsin. Stanford raced its 3V8 against the Badgers and Indiana, winning the race by a 17-second margin.
Friday, the Cardinal took on Duke, Rutgers, and Michigan State, once again earning victories in the V8, 2V8, V4, and 2V4 races. Racing the Scarlet Knights, Minnesota, and Iowa in the 3V8, Stanford captured a 10-second win.
The weekend ended Saturday morning with the Cardinal going up against Michigan, Ohio State, and Virginia. Stanford earned wins over the Wolverines in its V8 and 2V8 matchups but fell to the No. 6 ranked team in the nation in the V4, 2V4, and 3V8 races. The Cardinal beat the Cavaliers in all but the 3V8 race and topped the Buckeyes in all four races (Ohio State did not compete in the 3V8 race).
