CLASS OF 2015 CUP - PRINCETON DUAL

The #4 Stanford Lightweight Women traveled all the way to Lake Carnegie to take on #1 Princeton and continue to rebuild the program to a regular national champion status. They had two events - the 1V8 and 1V4. The 1V8 gave Princeton a strong effort under very clean rowing conditions, but Princeton was still able to prevail by open water - about 10 seconds. However, the 1V4 was a different story, with Stanford beating both the 1V4 and 2V4 of Princeton by two seconds. A close glance at rosters show that Princeton is more than 50% Jr/Sr whereas Stanford's roster is the opposite, with many freshman (of course, owing to the recruiting gap in 20/21 for the 11 temporarily cut sports), so the overall results of both races are very encouraging for the future of the program.

This race was actually live streamed on ESPN+, but was published very late. Be sure to use our link below to stay on top of last-minute livestream announcements.
